The "Match Maker" of the Valley of the Wolves, Şekip Taşpınar, has passed away

The actor Şekip Taşpınar, known for his role as "Matchmaker Cevat Akarsu" in the TV series Kurtlar Vadisi, has passed away.

The sad news was announced by the actor's manager, Temmuz Karikutal: "I am deeply saddened by the loss of valuable actor Şekip Taşpınar, whom I managed, this morning. We shared a lot. May he rest in peace, brother..."

Şekip Taşpınar received long-term treatment for alcohol poisoning in 2023.

WHO IS MEHMET ŞEKİP TAŞPINAR? Mehmet Şekip Taşpınar was born on February 10, 1969 in Ankara. He graduated from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory. He started theater in 1988 at Ankara Halk Oyuncuları Theater. He studied at Ankara State Conservatory between 1990-1994. He worked at Ankara State Theater from 1995 to 1998. He was appointed to Adana State Theater in 1999. He taught acting, diction, and phonetics at Çukurova University State Conservatory between 2000-2003. He has been a voice actor on TRT and other channels since 1988. He became known with the character Cevat Akarsu he portrayed in the TV series Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu in 2009.
